Not Eligible for Google Local Services Ads? What to Check
Part of: How to Set Up Google Local Services Ads, with every related question linked.
An eligibility block on Google Local Services Ads usually traces back to one of three things: your category or job type is not yet available in your market, your state requires a license or insurance certificate that has not cleared verification, or a billing issue is holding the profile back. Requirements differ by trade and by state, so what a roofing contractor in one state needs may not match what a remodeler in another state faces. Check the eligibility requirements page for your category and open your verification dashboard to see exactly which steps remain outstanding.
If the dashboard shows your account as inactive, paused, or with a disapproved ad, those operational issues can also prevent ads from running and may look like an eligibility problem at first. A budget that has run out for the week or an ad schedule set to hours when no one is available will stop ads without a visible error. Work through every section of your account settings before concluding your trade or location is ineligible. The Google Local Services Ads setup page covers each step in order, and our LSA guide for contractors explains the full verification flow.
