Questionthe short answer

What do you post on Instagram when you have nothing?

By Eric Snyder, founderUpdated Oct 31, 2026

When you have nothing to post on Instagram, answer a question somebody already asked you in your comments or your DMs, because that one shows up with the hook already written. The ig-reply skill points out that you can reply to a comment with a Reel, so the person who asked hears about it, and it sorts your comments so the questions a lot of people have get flagged as worth a whole video instead of a one-line reply.

If the comments are quiet too, I'd go two ways. One, take something you already made, a longer video, a job you walked through, the question you answer on every estimate, and turn it into a few short ones that each make sense on their own. The same free pack has a repurpose skill for exactly that. Two, go look at what's beating its usual numbers in your trade this month and say your own version of the best one. What I wouldn't do is post filler just to post something, because a reel with nothing true in it is a waste of your afternoon. And these skills won't make up a number for you either: they leave a blank for your real one. Here's how to set up the free Claude skills that do all of this.
