Questionthe short answer

How do you connect Higgsfield MCP to Claude Code?

By Eric Snyder, founderUpdated Oct 31, 2026

To connect Higgsfield to Claude Code, you ask Claude Code to set it up, and it installs Higgsfield's command-line tool, signs you in through your browser and adds Higgsfield's skills. Per Higgsfield's connection guide, that's three commands: npm i -g @higgsfield/cli to install the tool, then higgsfield auth login to sign in (you finish that part in the browser window that opens), and then npx skills add higgsfield-ai/skills to add the skills.

So it's a different road than the Claude app. In claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, you add a custom connector with Higgsfield's MCP link and approve the sign-in. In Claude Code, it's the command-line tool and the skills instead. Either way it's the same Higgsfield account, you need a paid plan, and every generation spends credits, so I'd still tell Claude to show me the cost and wait for my yes before it makes anything. To disconnect later, you log out through the command-line tool. If you don't live in a terminal, I'd use the Claude app route, which is what my Higgsfield and Claude guide walks through, with a cheap first Katana test.
