No, Higgsfield MCP isn't free: Higgsfield's connection guide says you need an active paid Higgsfield subscription, and every generation through a connected AI app uses credits, whatever plan you're on. Adding the connector costs nothing, and Claude's free plan can add one custom connector, but the moment Claude makes something, it's spending your Higgsfield credits. The same guide says unlimited model access and free generations only apply on higgsfield.ai, not through the connector.
So here's what I'd watch. There's no built-in credit cap on the connector. You can tell Claude to ask before it generates anything, but Higgsfield says that's an instruction in your prompt, not a hard limit, so I'd also skip Allow always on the tools that make images and videos. Higgsfield's Katana explainer says Claude shows the credit cost before each generation, and corrections that need new generations can cost more.
